Baden Baden Famous Markets

The town of Baden Baden is about 30 mins drive and is well worth a visit with its spa and elegant houses. It also has a modern shopping centre with a great supermarket - the food court equals Harrods! (well nearly)... not to mention the legendary Christmas Markets!

Europa Park

Walking
From the house you can go for many walks - the nearest pub and restaurant is about 10 mins walk away - they serve good beers and traditional home made food.

Skiing 
For the more adventurous there are a number of nearby ski slopes including Hunsdeck  and Mehilskopf offering a number of winter activities including snowboarding.

Eating and Drinking
The Black Forest is renowned for it sumptuous food (try the Gateau!) and we offer a lovely selection of traditional and local produce in our shop as well as the fabulous restarants and cafe's in the local villages.

Local Festivals
Fasching is a festive season begins each year on 11th Novemeber and finishes on Ash Wednesday although the main events are usually during February. In the Baden area the parade represents the time of year when the reign of the cold, evil winter spirits is over and they are hunted down and expelled by the good sprits of nature. Fasching is great fun for children and adults alike so catch it if you can but make sure you wrap up warm!
